Loading...I cannot support Mike Dudgeon for state house. I personally asked Mike to take a position on the recreation center at the Buice property and he declined. I had hoped that as an elected official representing District 2 that he would have publicly taken a position on a $6,000,000.00 project that would have served as an amenity for our children and enhanced our schools.
In the past years he has been a supporter of Commissioners Harrell and Boff. Both commissioners have tried to obstruct much needed amenities in our district. His lack of public endorsement on this issue made it more difficult for me to promote our recreation center in the face of my fellow commissioners’ tactics.
We need someone who will represent our interests at the state level and Anna McManus is that person. We need someone who will stand up and be willing to take a position on issues and Anna McManus has proven she can do that in the face of opposition. She has been a strong advocate in the past for many important Republican platforms and she will certainly continue that policy at the state capitol. I know that she will help me bring much needed transportation funding to District 2 and to be a strong voice for our community on the state level. Anna understands cooperative government and the importance of elected officials working together as a team.
I am pleased to join Ted Paxton and State Senator Jack Murphy in supporting Anna McManus. As a small business owner Anna understands the role business owners play in our local economy. Anna helped found the Republican Party here in Forsyth County and is well respected by leaders at the state level. She has worked closely with Lt. Governor Casey Cagle and already has many contacts that will be immediately helpful to our district. Anna is someone who will answer the phone when you call and will not lose touch with those who represent you locally.
Along with more than 100 community leaders, I would like to ask for you to support Anna McManus for State House this Tuesday, July 20.
Your commissioner,
Brian R. Tam
